The LinkedIn Playbook for Founders Who Hate Posting
Every founder knows they 'should be posting on LinkedIn.' Almost none do it consistently, because the advice they get is written for content creators, not operators running a company.
Here's the system I use with founder clients who have thirty minutes a week, not three hours a day.
Voice notes beat blank pages
The founder's job is insight, not writing. Once a week, they send me voice notes answering three questions: What did you change your mind about? What did a customer teach you? What's a take your industry gets wrong?
Ten minutes of voice notes reliably turns into four or five posts. The insight stays authentically theirs; the packaging becomes my job.
Three pillars, one point of view
Random posting builds nothing. Pick three content pillars — typically industry perspective, company lessons, and personal operating principles — and a single point of view that threads them together.
A sharp point of view is the difference between a founder people follow and a feed people scroll past. It should be specific enough that someone could disagree with it.
The profile is the landing page
Posts create attention; the profile converts it. Rewrite the headline around the customer's problem, turn the About section into a mini sales page, and pin the three posts that best represent the founder's thinking. Then attention has somewhere to go.
